This resource is based on the novel 'The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas' by John Boyne. It highlights the struggles of two young children of war and their quest for friendship, which defies the wishes of Bruno's parents.

- In pairs students could read the relivent chapters to eachother.
- Using the process of 'Think, Pair, Share' each child could fill out the worksheet, then discuss with their partner and share with the class.
- Children could discuss the differences between their answers and their partners answers and why they felt differently.
- Early finishers could then continue and discuss how each character would react to the others reaction.
